Citizens Bank PLC has unanimously elected S M Shofiqul Hoq as the Chairman of its Risk Management Committee.
Shofiqul Hoq represents Rahimaziz Knitspin Limited, one of the sponsor director entities of Citizens Bank, and currently serves as Executive Director of NR Group.
He holds a degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Dhaka. He began his professional career in 2004 as an Assistant Manager at Arif Knitspin Limited and assumed the position of Executive Director of NR Group in 2025.
Shofiqul Hoq has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Citizens Bank for a considerable period, contributing to the bank’s strategic and governance matters. With experience in foreign procurement, marketing and the textile industry, Hoq brings industry insight and strategic perspective to his new role.
