The ‘Jackass’ franchise will return to cinemas with a brand new film releasing worldwide on June 26. Paramount Pictures has confirmed the summer release, signalling another round of chaos led by Johnny Knoxville, who teased the comeback through an Instagram post shared with the official Jackass account and Gorilla Flicks.
The post confirmed a new theatrical release, not a reissue or anniversary screening of earlier films. The announcement arrives four years after the release of ‘Jackass Forever’.
That film reunited original cast members and introduced a younger generation of stunt performers. It featured Knoxville facing a charging bull alongside stunts involving bears, bees and extreme physical punishment.
Producers have confirmed Knoxville’s involvement but have not yet announced the full cast.
Bam Margera is unlikely to return after his removal from the previous film over contract violations. Margera has since stated publicly that he does not want to rejoin the franchise.
The Jackass series began as an MTV television show in the early 2000s.
It later evolved into a long-running film franchise with a loyal global audience.
While original fans have grown older, new viewers continue to embrace the franchise’s reckless humour. The upcoming film promises the same outrageous stunts that have defined Jackass for decades.
