Pamela Anderson has spoken candidly about an uncomfortable encounter with Seth Rogen at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, saying the moment reopened unresolved feelings linked to the television series ‘Pam & Tommy’.
In an interview with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, Anderson said seeing Rogen at the ceremony reminded her that the show, based on the leaked sex tape scandal involving her and former husband Tommy Lee, was made without her consent. She described the experience as unsettling and said she still feels disappointed that no apology has been offered.
Anderson said she found it difficult to reconcile the success of the series with the fact that it dramatised what she considers one of the most painful periods of her life. She stressed that public figures should not automatically lose the right to privacy, particularly when deeply personal experiences are involved.
Although she did not approach Rogen directly at the event, Anderson admitted the moment stayed with her. She said she has been focused on work and has completed several films over the past year, but encounters like this can still have an emotional impact.
Released in 2022, Pam & Tommy revisited the widely publicised 1990s scandal surrounding the stolen sex tape. The Hulu series starred Lily James and Sebastian Stan, with Rogen also appearing on screen. Despite earning multiple Emmy nominations, Anderson publicly criticised the project upon its release and said it left her feeling hurt and sidelined.
She added that while an apology would be welcome, the larger issue is the industry’s tendency to treat real-life trauma as entertainment without considering the people affected.
