Singer-songwriter Ishaan Mozumder has released a new song, “Dhoop”, on YouTube, following the success of his Coke Studio Bangla track “Patar Bashori”.

Released in July, “Patar Bashori” features Ishaan alongside Sunidhi Nayak. The song has drawn widespread attention and surpassed 65 million views on YouTube.

In contrast, “Dhoop” explores the pain of losing someone dear and the memories that keep them close. Using sunlight as its central image, the song reflects on how ordinary moments can bring back the presence of someone who is no longer there. It captures the delicate space between absence and presence, where familiar sights and experiences offer comfort amid loss.

Ishaan wrote, composed and performed the song. Dippro Ahmed handled the piano and production, while Ishaan and Dippro jointly arranged the music. Andy played the violin, and Adri Biswas mixed and mastered the track. Rohit Das directed the music video.

Speaking about the release, Ishaan said he had recorded “Dhoop” three years ago purely for his own listening. The song gradually evolved, he added, as he and Dippro spent a long time working with it before deciding to share it with the public.

Listeners can find “Dhoop” on Ishaan’s YouTube channel, Ishaan er Gaan.
