Social media influencer Faisal Shaikh, popularly known as Mr Faisu, has tied the knot in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The influencer announced his marriage on Instagram on Saturday, sharing the first pictures from his Nikah ceremony held in the holy city.
“And We created you in pairs” (Quran 78:8), Faisu wrote alongside the pictures. “Alhamdulillah for a dream turned into reality. Nikah in the beautiful city of Madinah, with my entire family by my side. A blessing beyond words.”
He also asked his followers to keep the couple in their prayers as they begin their life together, adding, “May Allah bless our marriage with endless love and barakah. Ameen.”
In the pictures, Faisu wore a white sherwani, while his bride appeared in a white gharara paired with a red dupatta and gold jewellery. The couple posed against the backdrop of Masjid al-Munawwarah.
Several of Faisu’s friends and colleagues from the entertainment industry congratulated the newlyweds in the comments section.
Actor Rubina Dilaik wrote, “Big Congratulations… God Bless you.” Shreya Kalra commented, “Mubarak ho,” while actress Ayesha Khan wrote, “Mabrook.” Actor Arjun Bijlani also extended his wishes to the couple.
Born in Mumbai, Faisu grew up in Dharavi and rose to fame through short-form videos on social media. He co-founded the popular content creation group Team 07 with his friends, gaining a following for lip-sync videos, comedy sketches and dramatic clips.
He later expanded his career into television and reality shows, appearing in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, The 50 and Celebrity MasterChef.
Faisu has also starred in the web series Bang Baang and hosted the YouTube segment Long Drive with Mr Faisu.
