The Inner Wheel Club of Agradut, Dhaka has installed a new executive committee, reaffirming its commitment to community service, women’s empowerment and international fellowship.
The voluntary organisation said in a statement that the new committee assumed office at an inauguration ceremony held in Gulshan last week.
Newly elected President Qamrun Nahar Sheuly took over from outgoing President Shahina Hassan. During the ceremony, members pledged to uphold the club’s mission of promoting friendship, international understanding and service to the community.
The new committee also includes Vice Presidents Anjuman Nahar and Mahua Ahmed, Treasurer Anjuman Akter Bely, Secretary Mridula Rashid, International Service Organiser Sabrina Sadat and Correspondent Eliza Parvin.
Inner Wheel Club of Bangladesh District 328 Chairman Shamim Khandaker formally handed over the presidential collar and encouraged members to expand their work for disadvantaged communities, particularly women.
Inner Wheel Club of Bangladesh District 328 Secretary and Prime Bank Director Nasim Anwar Hossain and Sandhani Life Insurance Director and founding President of the club Kawser Jahan Farida also attended the ceremony.
Associated with Rotary, the Inner Wheel Club is part of the global International Inner Wheel network, which promotes volunteerism and community service through women’s leadership.
