Popular singers Rupankar Bagchi and Joy Shahriar have teamed up for a new album, ‘Gaaner Pothe Dekha’, featuring eight songs composed by Shahriar.
Released through Aajob Records, the album includes four tracks sung by Bagchi and four performed by Shahriar. Kabir Bakul, Someshwar Oli, Mahmud Manjur, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Maruf Hasan and Shahriar have penned the lyrics.
The tracklist includes ‘Nei Je Proyojon’, ‘Kemon Kore’, ‘Aay Phirey’, ‘Sholo Anai Michhe’, ‘Kemon Achho Tumi’, ‘Tumi’, ‘Oshukh’ and ‘Bhalo Achhi’.
Bagchi said he has worked with Shahriar for nearly a decade and praised him as one of his favourite lyricists and composers in Bangladesh. He said the album brings together songs they worked on at different times and expressed hope that listeners would enjoy them.
Shahriar described Bagchi as both an artiste and a person close to him. He said working with the singer has been a joyful and enriching experience and called the album one of the most cherished achievements of his musical career.
