Akij Pipes has launched a nationwide World Cup-themed consumer campaign, introducing a breath-powered football game as it seeks to engage fans during the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The company said in a statement on Sunday that the initiative, branded the Akij Pipes Foo-Ball Championship, will travel across the country through a series of roadshows designed to bring the tournament’s excitement closer to consumers.
The game replaces conventional football with a specially designed platform built from Akij Pipes, where participants compete by blowing a ball through pipes and into their opponent’s goal. The format is intended to be simple enough for people of all ages to join.
As part of the campaign, four branded caravans will tour divisions and districts, hosting matches alongside entertainment programmes, interactive activities and prize competitions.
Akij Pipes Chief Operating Officer Paritosh Chandra Mitra said the campaign reflects the company’s focus on using innovation to strengthen customer engagement, turning an everyday product into an interactive experience for football fans.
Akij Group Head of Brand Md Shakibul Shahin said the initiative aims to take the World Cup atmosphere beyond stadiums and television screens by creating a travelling fan experience across the country.
The company said the campaign is intended to celebrate Bangladesh’s enduring passion for football while strengthening its connection with consumers through sport and entertainment.
