Banglalink has won four awards at the CIPS Asia Excellence in Procurement and Supply Awards 2026, earning regional recognition for procurement initiatives focused on sustainability, social value, risk management and operational excellence.
The awards, organised by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), were presented in Singapore from 7 to 9 July and recognise outstanding procurement and supply chain practices across the Asia-Pacific region.
Competing against multinational organisations, Banglalink won the Best Initiative to Deliver Social Value through Procurement award for its Procurement Enabling Inclusive Digital Education project, led by Category Manager Qazi Sanzid Ahmed.
It also received the Best Sustainability Project of the Year award for its Carbon-Smart Green Microwave Connectivity initiative, represented by Category Manager Nazirul Islam Khan.
The company was named runner-up in the Best Approach to Risk Mitigation category for its Radio Access Network (RAN) Transformation project, represented by Senior Category Manager Abdullah Al Faruque. RAN is the part of a mobile network that connects users’ devices to the telecommunications network.
Banglalink also finished runner-up in the Procurement Team of the Year category, represented by Supply Chain Management Director Ashik Shobhan.
Ashik Shobhan said the recognition reflected the team’s dedication to embedding sustainability, social value and operational excellence into the company’s procurement practices.
“Winning across four categories at a global platform of this stature is a testament to how far we have come in embedding sustainability, social value and operational excellence into our procurement practices,” he said.
