Betopia Group has unveiled its Vision 2030 strategy, outlining plans to double its workforce within a year, reorganise its leadership structure and expand investment in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and enterprise technologies as it pursues global growth.
The Bangladesh-based technology company announced the strategy at its annual planning conference on Sunday, where it also approved business plans, budgets and key performance indicators for the 2026-27 fiscal year, the company said in a statement.
Vision 2030 aims to build an AI-powered technology ecosystem while expanding the group’s presence in international markets, including Africa. The strategy prioritises artificial intelligence, cloud computing, enterprise solutions, business automation, data analytics and digital transformation.
As part of the restructuring, Betopia introduced a decentralised operating model designed to strengthen accountability and speed up decision-making across its subsidiaries.
Chairperson Sabina Akter announced the appointment of founder and Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Monir Hossain as Managing Director of Betopia Group. In his new role, he will oversee the group’s long-term strategy, investments, business expansion and international partnerships, while subsidiary chief executives will take greater responsibility for day-to-day operations.
The company also appointed Mohammad Nasir as Chief Executive Officer of Softvence IT, Zisan Ahmed as Chief Executive Officer of Zencore Solutions, Gourab Krishna Gupta as Chief Executive Officer of Betopia and Abdullah Al Alamin as Chief Marketing Officer of the group.
Betopia also unveiled plans for Betopia City, a long-term project that would integrate data centres, corporate headquarters, research and innovation facilities, training institutions, residential accommodation and technology-enabled workspaces.
The company said it would continue investing in GPU-powered AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, cloud technologies and advanced data analytics to support its long-term growth.
As part of Vision 2030, Betopia plans to double its workforce within the next year, supported by new international projects, business diversification and investment in talent development. The company said the expansion would create thousands of jobs and strengthen Bangladesh’s technology talent pool.
Founded in 2017 as Bdcalling IT with an initial investment of Tk5 lakh and seven employees, the business has since evolved into Betopia Group after founder Muhammad Monir Hossain began his entrepreneurial journey as a freelancer in 2013.
Today, the group operates 22 business units, employs about 5,000 people and serves clients in more than 80 countries. Its businesses span software development, enterprise solutions, cloud services, AI, IT outsourcing, business process outsourcing, digital marketing and digital transformation. The company reported annual turnover of about $36 million, equivalent to more than Tk350 crore.
Speaking at the conference, Managing Director Muhammad Monir Hossain said Vision 2030 was intended to build “a world-class technology enterprise from Bangladesh” capable of competing with global technology companies.
He said the group’s international strategy extends beyond the domestic market, with existing business engagements in the United States and plans to expand into the Philippines and other overseas markets.
Monir Hossain said the new decentralised leadership structure would strengthen accountability and execution across the group’s businesses, while continued investment in technology and talent would underpin its long-term growth.
