The government has initiated a move to appoint a new governor for Bangladesh Bank, replacing the incumbent, Ahsan H Mansur, according to sources at the Ministry of Finance.
Mostakur Rahman, a faculty member at a university in the United States, is being considered for the position. Sources further revealed that the Ministry of Finance has already forwarded a proposal to the Prime Minister’s Office for formal approval regarding the appointment.
