For those looking to step away from the usual pace of city life and spend time discovering local creativity, entrepreneurship and lifestyle brands, “IDLC Purnota Utsob ft Adda Chole” is set to return this October.
The seventh edition of the popular creative entrepreneurs’ platform ‘Adda Chole’ will take place on 2 and 3 October 2026, at Aloki in Dhaka, bringing together 102 homegrown creative ventures under one roof.
More than a marketplace, the two-day event is designed as a lifestyle experience where shopping meets conversations, entertainment and community. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of local businesses while spending time with friends and family in a relaxed festival-like setting.
The concept of IDLC Purnota Utsob ft Adda Chole was first introduced in January this year. Following the positive response to the inaugural edition, the event is returning for a second time on a larger scale, with IDLC Finance PLC continuing as its partner.

The partnership reflects a focus on supporting local entrepreneurs and contributing to the growth of Bangladesh’s creative economy. For participating businesses, the event offers more than a physical space to showcase and sell their products – it creates an opportunity to meet customers directly, build relationships and tell the stories behind their brands.
Visitors can expect a wide selection of products and businesses across categories including fashion, home décor, jewellery and food, among others. The event will also feature conversations, informal gatherings and entertainment, creating an atmosphere that goes beyond conventional shopping.
For many small and emerging businesses, direct interaction with customers can be an important part of building a brand. Events such as this allow entrepreneurs to receive immediate feedback, introduce their products to new audiences and create connections that may continue beyond the two-day exhibition.

For visitors, meanwhile, the appeal lies in discovering the people and ideas behind some of the country’s growing local ventures. Instead of simply browsing products online or visiting individual stores, they will be able to experience a wide range of homegrown businesses in one place.
With 102 creative ventures coming together, the organisers envision Aloki becoming a destination for Dhaka residents over the two days, a place where people can shop, meet entrepreneurs, discover local products and simply spend quality time with one another.
Ultimately, IDLC Purnota Utsob ft Adda Chole aims to bring together the many sides of Bangladesh’s growing creative scene: entrepreneurship, craftsmanship, local products and the simple pleasure of gathering together.
