“I have already received an invitation to attend the Dhallywood Awards 2026. I will be there as an honoured guest. I want to attend the programme and enjoy the entire event. I do not know anything beyond that. Perhaps they have something planned for me or a special surprise, but they may not want to tell me in advance,” she said.

Moushumi also recently attended an event marking the 18th anniversary of the America Press Club, where she received a special honour. Singer Shoeb Vaik was also honoured at the event.

Speaking about her long relationship with journalists, Moushumi said they have always been close to her and have supported her throughout her career.

“Journalists have always been close to me. I have always felt their love through their affection and writing. I have received their support, and perhaps that is why I have come this far. I always enjoy attending journalists’ events,” she said.

Moushumi made her debut as a leading actress in Sohanur Rahman Sohan’s ‘Keyamat Theke Keyamat’, released in 1993. Salman Shah played opposite her in the film.

The pair later appeared together in popular films including ‘Antore Antore’ and ‘Sneher Bondhon’, earning widespread audience appreciation.

Those films continue to be watched by audiences whenever they get the opportunity, keeping Moushumi’s connection with her fans alive even in the absence of new releases.
