New-generation vocalist Humaira Eshika has won praise for her rendition of ‘Tumi Chara’ (Reprise) from the Eid film ‘Rakkhosh’.
While the song has two versions, Eshika’s voice features in the solo soft version, which has quickly captured audience attention.
The melody and music for the track were composed by Imran Mahmudul, with lyrics by Robiul Islam Jibon. As the full song is featured in the film, it has drawn interest both on-screen and as a standalone track.
Reflecting on the response, Eshika said, “The soft version is very special to me. It was released separately on the 25th and since then I have received a lot of positive feedback. Many cineplex-goers have even congratulated me in person. I am grateful to the entire Rakkhosh team, including Imran Mahmudul. I hope Tumi Chara reaches an even wider audience if released separately.”
Eshika began her playback career with the film ‘Kajolrekha’, contributing vocals to seven of its 24 tracks. Her collaboration with Imran Mahmudul on ‘Parbo Na Tomake Charte’ marked a turning point in her career.
Born in Bogura, Eshika began her musical journey at just three and a half years old. She was a top-seven finalist in Khude Gaanraj 2016 and has received recognition as Best New Artist at the Channel i Music Awards 2023, as well as Best Musician for Kajolrekha at the BIFA Awards 2024.
Eshika continues to balance her studies with a growing focus on music.
