Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has accepted an invitation to attend an Iftar party organised to mark the first anniversary of National Citizen Party (NCP).
The NCP Member Secretary, Akhter Hossen, handed over the invitation to the home minister at his residence on Thursday night.
Akhter later confirmed the development through a post on the social media platform Facebook, noting that the Salahuddin gladly accepted the invitation.
According to the member secretary, Salahuddin has consented to attend the event as the chief guest.
The main anniversary programme is scheduled to commence with the Iftar gathering at the Dhanmondi Abahani Field.
The theme for the NCP’s first anniversary celebration has been set as: “The country will move in a new direction, will not return to fascism”.
