Streaming platform Hoichoi has released the official trailer for its upcoming web film ‘Ekshathe Alada’, building anticipation ahead of its premiere scheduled for March 19 during Eid-ul-Fitr.

Directed by Rezaur Rahman, the one-hour romantic comedy-drama centres on a married couple struggling to maintain a connection that has gradually faded. The story follows Farhan and Amira as they navigate a relationship weighed down by emotional distance, social expectations and the pressure to keep their marriage intact.

Despite sharing a life together, the pair find themselves questioning whether their bond still holds meaning. As tensions rise, both must confront their personal frustrations while balancing family responsibilities and societal judgement.

The film brings together actors Yash Rohan and Parsa Evana in the lead roles, marking their first collaboration on a Hoichoi production. The supporting cast includes Tariq Anam Khan, Tushar Khan, Rosey Siddiqui and Deepa Khondkar.

The screenplay was developed by Rezaur Rahman alongside Karina Kaiser. The project is produced by Syed Ahmed Shawki, while Shahriar Islam serves as executive producer.

Behind the camera, cinematography is handled by Ishtiaq Hossain and editing by Mahfuzul Haque Ashique. The film’s music is composed by Khayam Sanu Sandhi, with sound design by Ripon Nath. Makeup is overseen by Kazi Asmita Pranjoli and Sujon Bepari, while costumes are designed by Swapna Rani Bain and production design by Md Rinku.

Speaking about the project, Rezaur Rahman said the film examines the realities of contemporary relationships, where emotional fulfilment, independence and professional demands often clash. He added that the newly released trailer offers only a brief glimpse into the deeper emotional conflicts explored in the story.
Reflecting on the project, Yash Rohan noted that the script felt instantly relatable because it reflects situations many couples encounter in modern life.

Parsa Evana also described her role as complex and emotionally nuanced, adding that the film balances humour with moments of quiet introspection.
