The High Court on Monday rejected a writ petition seeking the dismissal and arrest of current Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Baharul Alam, following the inclusion of his name in the report of the National Independent Inquiry Commission formed to probe the 2009 Pilkhana killings.
A High Court bench comprising Justice Shikdar Mahmudur Razi and Justice Rajiuddin Ahmed delivered the order.
Writ petitioner’s lawyer SM Zulfikar Ali Junu confirmed the development.
