The government has called on city commuters to strictly follow traffic rules as a new signal system is set to be piloted in the capital from Sunday.
According to a government statement issued on Saturday, the locally developed traffic signal system will be introduced at seven major junctions along the route from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to Hotel InterContinental.
“The pilot operation of the signal system will start tomorrow. Citizens are requested to cooperate fully by obeying traffic laws and signals,” the statement said.
