UCB offers wider payment channels for Chartered Life policyholders

Chartered Life Insurance policyholders can now pay premiums and admissible fees through UCB ONE Internet Banking, UCB’s Payment Gateway and other secure digital channels, as well as through UCB branches, sub-branches and Agent Banking outlets.

United Commercial Bank (UCB) PLC and Chartered Life Insurance Company PLC have recently signed an agreement to enable the collection of insurance premiums and admissible fees through UCB’s digital and physical distribution channels, said a press release on Monday.

The collaboration draws on UCB’s Transaction Banking capabilities under its Wholesale Banking Division, combining digital payment solutions with an extensive distribution network to support efficient collections and enhance customer convenience for corporate partners.

UCB Deputy Managing Director, Wholesale Banking Sufia Akter and Chartered Life Insurance Company PLC Acting Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Amdad Ullah signed the agreement.

UCB SEVP and Head of Brand Marketing and Corporate Affairs Zeeshan Kingshuk Huq attended the signing ceremony, along with senior officials from both organisations, including Chartered Life Insurance Company PLC Chief Financial Officer Abu Ahmad Kabir.
