The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) for Faridpur and Sherpur districts.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Wednesday regarding these appointments.
According to the notification, Mazharul Islam, who has been serving as a director (deputy secretary) at the Department of Narcotics Control, has been appointed as the new DC of Faridpur.
Meanwhile, Farida Yasmin, a deputy secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration, has been made the new DC of Sherpur.
