Gas supply will remain suspended for eight hours in several parts of Dhaka on Tuesday as Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited undertakes pipeline replacement work.
In a notice issued on Monday, the company said gas supply will remain unavailable from 12pm to 8pm in Free School Street, Bhuter Goli, Kitchen Road, Al Amin Road and Kathalbagan areas.
The suspension will affect both residential and commercial consumers, the notice said.
According to Titas Gas, the scheduled work involves replacing old leaking distribution pipelines and service lines in Free School Street, Hatirpool, Pukurpar and Dhanmondi areas.
The company also cautioned that consumers living in nearby areas may experience low gas pressure while the maintenance work is underway.
It apologised for the temporary inconvenience and requested customers’ cooperation during the scheduled maintenance.
