The government has announced a Tk2 per litre cut in fuel prices, effective Sunday (1 February).
In a press release issued on Saturday, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources said the revised rates will be reflected at the consumer level.
Under the new prices, diesel will cost Tk100 per litre, down from Tk102. Octane will be Tk120 instead of Tk122, petrol Tk116 instead of Tk118, and kerosene Tk112 instead of Tk 114.
The ministry said domestic fuel prices are automatically adjusted in line with global market fluctuations.
