A Dhaka court issued an order to transfer the Gulshan flat fraud case filed against British MP Tulip Siddiq, also niece of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
The case has been transferred to Dhaka’s Special Judge Court‑5 for trial.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order after a hearing on Wednesday. The court also set 16 April for the hearing on charge framing, said the Court bench assistant Md Riaz Hossain.
He said the Bangladesh Government Printing Office (BG Press) earlier published a gazette notification summoning Tulip Siddiq and other accused — former Rajuk assistant legal adviser Sardar Mosharraf Hossain — to appear before the court.
On 18 February, the court accepted the charge sheet against the accused and issued arrest warrants against them.
The ACC filed the case on 15 April last year accusing them of illegally obtaining a flat from Eastern Housing Limited in Gulshan by abusing power and colluding with each other, without making any payment, and later registering it.
