Five students from Glenrich International School, Uttara have achieved a perfect score in Mathematics in this year’s IGCSE examination, securing 100 per cent marks and earning recognition as world toppers.
This achievement marks the highest number of world toppers in Mathematics in the school’s history, according to a press release.
Notably, Faiyaz Siddiquee and Awhona Saha also topped the school overall with aggregate scores of 96 per cent and 95.6 per cent, respectively. Awhona Saha received the prestigious Cambridge ICE Award with Distinction.
The overall batch results were impressive: 41 out of 200 students scored 90 per cent or above, while nearly half the class—99 students—achieved 80 per cent or higher. The batch average was 80.3 per cent, reflecting consistent improvement and reinforcing Glenrich’s reputation as a leading international school in Bangladesh.
Additionally, 64 students, approximately 32 per cent of the batch, qualified for the Daily Star Award.
Principal Amlan K Saha expressed pride in the students’ achievements, highlighting that these results demonstrate the effectiveness of the school’s comprehensive learning programmes. He emphasized Glenrich’s commitment to providing a nurturing environment and advanced tools to foster academic excellence.
The school’s strong focus on STEM education, including robotics, coding, and project-based learning, aligns with the growing global demand for skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, preparing students for future challenges.
