Bangladeshi technology startup Xephyr Labs has launched Lattu.ai, a free artificial intelligence (AI) platform designed to help students plan higher education abroad with access to university, scholarship and application information.
The platform provides details on more than 3,000 universities across 18-plus countries, over 800 subjects, 100-plus international scholarships, accommodation options, eligibility requirements, application procedures, timelines, costs and addresses.
Designed specifically for Bangladeshi students, Lattu.ai aims to address the information gap faced by students and families who often rely on fragmented sources such as education fairs, blogs and scattered online resources.
Every year, more than 50,000 Bangladeshi students pursue higher education abroad. UNESCO data showed that 52,799 Bangladeshi students studied overseas in 2023, nearly 10 times higher than in 2010.
The platform was developed by Bangladeshi technologists with professional experience at global technology companies including Microsoft, Disney, Google and Amazon. The founders said their own experiences studying abroad motivated them to build a solution for students at home.
Lattu.ai offers several features, including an AI Journey Planner that creates personalised study plans based on students’ goals, budgets, academic backgrounds and preferences.
Other features include a Country Explorer for comparing destinations, a Scholarship Hub for finding funding opportunities, an Application Tracker for monitoring admission progress, a Community Forum for sharing experiences and a News Section covering visa policies and regulatory updates.
Pallab Mahmud, co-founder of Lattu.ai and a software engineer with experience at Microsoft, said the platform was created to help students organise their overseas study plans and access essential information in one place.
Students can access Lattu.ai through its website or mobile application free of charge.
