A delegation from the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Additional Police Commissioner Md Masud Karim.
The courtesy meeting discussed strengthening mutual cooperation and joint initiatives to combat terrorism and tackle transnational crime.
The courtesy meeting was held at the CTTC office on Wednesday. The US delegation was led by Suhel Daud, Legal Attaché, FBI/Legat at the US Embassy in New Delhi, India (responsible for Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, and Bhutan).
Officials concerned expressed hope that the courtesy meeting will help further strengthen existing cooperation between law enforcement agencies of Bangladesh and the United States.
