BCB director Nazmul Abedeen Fahim said that there is no official update from the Pakistan Cricket Board about any change to the upcoming One Day International series.
There were reports that the tour could face problems due to tension in the region. But the BCB said it has not received any message about a delay.
Nazmul Abedeen Fahim, chairman of the BCB cricket operations committee, said the board sees no concern at this stage.
“As of now, there’s no uncertainty about the series. If Pakistan had to travel from Dubai, it would have been a different issue. But now, all seems good so far,” Fahim told Daily Times of Bangladesh on Monday.
Pakistan are due to arrive in Dhaka on 9 March. The three matches are set to take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on 11, 13 and 15 March.
Foreign media reports had claimed that the tour could depend on the security and travel situation. That led to talk about a possible rethink.
However, the BCB said it is moving ahead with its plans. The series will mark Bangladesh’s return to One Day cricket since their home series against the West Indies in October last year. It’s also a part of plans for preparation for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 for both the participating teams.
