HBO has released the first trailer for the long-awaited third season of ‘Euphoria’, confirming an April 12 premiere and a significant time jump for the series.

The new season moves the story several years beyond high school, following Rue and her peers as adults dealing with the long-term consequences of their earlier choices. Zendaya returns as Rue, whose storyline appears darker and more dangerous, while Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie and Maude Apatow are also back in central roles.

According to the trailer, the narrative leaps ahead five years. Cassie and Nate are now married and living a suburban life, while Rue is shown outside the US as she struggles to escape past entanglements. Jules is pursuing art school, and Maddy is working in Hollywood, signalling a shift from teenage turmoil to adult reckoning.

Several familiar faces will not return, including Barbie Ferreira, Storm Reid and Javon Walton. The show also continues without Angus Cloud, who died in 2023 after becoming a breakout star as Fezco.

Season three introduces a large group of new cast members, including Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler and Marshawn Lynch, suggesting an expanded world and broader scope for the series.

Created by Sam Levinson, Euphoria remains one of HBO’s most talked-about dramas, and the trailer hints at a more mature, high-stakes chapter as the characters confront life beyond adolescence.
