Chairman and CEO of Dawn Group Md Ershad Hussain Rana has been elected President of the France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFB) for a two-year term spanning 2026–2028.
The election results, announced following the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), also saw Director (Business Development) of Expo Holdings (BD) Ltd MA Reaz and Managing Director and CEO of 3i Logistics (Pvt) Ltd Md Jahangir Alam Sharker elected as vice presidents.

Farzana Chowdhury of Abista FS Ltd has been elected as treasurer for the same tenure.
The Chamber’s newly formed 17-member Board includes 13 Board of Directors representing leading business organisations.
The elected directors are Managing Director, ABN Group Syed Sadat Ahmed, Managing Director, Akhtar Group Dató KM Rifatuzzaman, Director Marketing, Bangladesh Exports Ltd Badria Anis, Managing Director & CEO, Bangladesh General Insurance Company Ltd Ahmed Saifuddin Chowdhury, and Managing Director, Bengal Airlift Ltd Arif Rahman.
Managing Director, Elite Security Services Ltd Brig Gen Sharif Aziz, PSC (retd), Managing Director Fariha Knit Tex Ltd Md Asadul Islam, Managing Director, Novo Cargo Services Ltd SM Rahman, CEO, Pacific Design & Sourcing Mohammad Rashed, and President & CEO, Radiant Corporation SA Bahadur.
Managing Director, Tasho Enterprises Ltd Salimul Haque Essa, Managing Director, Uni-Global Business Ltd Mahmodul Islam Parvez, and Executive Director, Utah Knitting & Dyeing Ltd Sana Sattar.
A Board Transition Ceremony was held on Thursday, immediately following the AGM to mark the formal handover of responsibilities to the new leadership team.
The event concluded with a networking luncheon, celebrating the CCIFB’s ongoing commitment to strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations between France and Bangladesh.
