Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) has recognised the academic excellence of 10 meritorious students under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives at a scholarship award ceremony held at the NEC Auditorium on Monday.
The programme was organised in collaboration with the Economic Relations Division, according to a press release.
The scholarship recipients, who are children of Economic Relations Division employees, demonstrated outstanding academic performance in their Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary Certificate examinations.
The initiative aims to encourage scholastic excellence and support the educational aspirations of talented students.
The event was attended as the chief guest by Economic Relations Division Secretary and IDCOL Chairman Md Shahriar Kader Siddiky, who formally awarded certificates and scholarship funds to the selected students.
He appreciated IDCOL for undertaking the initiative and underscored the importance of investing in education as a foundation for national development, the release said.
IDCOL CEO Alamgir Morshed said the company remains committed to promoting academic excellence and nurturing young talents so they can grow as responsible individuals who inspire others and contribute positively to society, according to the release.
The programme was chaired by Economic Relations Division Additional Secretary (WB Wing) and IDCOL Director Mirana Mahrukh.
Others present at the event included Economic Relations Division Additional Secretary (Administration, ICT and Middle East Wing) Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Joint Secretary Ruhul Amin and IDCOL Chief Investment Officer Nazmul Haque, along with senior officials from the Economic Relations Division and IDCOL, the release said.
Through such initiatives, IDCOL continues to reaffirm its commitment to fostering educational excellence and supporting the development of future leaders in line with its broader Corporate Social Responsibility objectives.
