Egypt has expressed its readiness to arrange any dialogue aimed at ending the ongoing hostilities between Iran, Israel, and the United States, as regional efforts intensify to curb rising tensions in the Middle East.

On Thursday, Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty told a press conference that Cairo is prepared to take such an initiative at any moment if it helps de-escalate the situation.

“Egypt is in direct contact with Washington and Tehran to open the way for talks to end the war,” Abdelatty said.

He noted that Egyptian leaders are already working to bridge the gap between the parties involved, adding that tensions are expected to subside once peace negotiations with Iran begin.

Abdelatty also stated that Egypt supports US President Donald Trump’s initiative to hold talks with Iran. He said Cairo is coordinating with Turkey, Pakistan, China, the European Union, and Gulf states as part of its ongoing efforts to ease regional tensions.

His remarks came despite reports that Iran has rejected a 15-point plan proposed by Trump. The foreign minister maintained that Egypt will continue its efforts, asserting that a military solution to the conflict is not viable and that dialogue remains the only path forward.

Abdelatty further emphasised that the security of Gulf countries is an integral part of both Arab and Egyptian national security.
