Election Commission (EC) will brief senior officials of the local administration and law enforcement agencies on Tuesday on the management of the upcoming 13th national election.
A notice signed by Mohammad Manir Hossain, deputy secretary (Election Management‑2 Wing), was issued on Monday.
EC sources have informed that detailed instructions will be given at this briefing regarding overall election preparation, the law and order situation, administrative coordination, security of polling centers, and the necessary measures for the field administration and law enforcement agencies to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful election.
The notice stated that the briefing on election management will be held in the morning with the participation of divisional commissioners, police commissioners, deputy commissioners, additional inspectors general of police, regional election officers, district administrators, superintendents of police, and senior district and district election officers.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin, the senior secretary of the EC Secretariat, and the election commissioners will be present at the event.
The cabinet secretary, principal secretary to the chief adviser, senior secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration will also be present.
