The Election Commission (EC) has set limits on billboards and restricted the use of loudspeakers and microphones in election campaigns.
According to a notification issued on Friday, no more than 20 billboards may be used across an entire electoral constituency, or one per ward in each union, municipality, or metropolitan area of a parliamentary seat.
The EC further stated that no candidate, or anyone acting on their behalf, may use more than three microphones or loudspeakers simultaneously at a single public meeting in any electoral area. However, this restriction will not apply to the use of microphones or loudspeakers for general campaigning.
