An earthquake jolted Bangladesh around 6:30am on Tuesday. The tremors were felt in Dhaka and various other parts of the country.
The earthquake primarily struck the India-Myanmar border, with India’s National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reporting a 5.2-magnitude quake in Manipur’s Kamjong district. This seismic activity originated at a depth of 62 kilometres, indicating a medium-depth earthquake.
Meanwhile, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.0, with a depth of 100.6 kilometres.
