Dhaka Metropolitan Police Traffic Division filed 1,403 cases against traffic rule violations across the capital.
The cases were filed on Friday during a routine drive, according to a DMP press release issued on Sunday.
Traffic police also dumped 319 motor vehicles and towed 150 vehicles during the campaign.
Motijheel Traffic Division recorded the highest number with 390 cases, followed by Mirpur with 310, Tejgaon 184, Lalbagh 163, Wari 119, Uttara 105, Ramna 67 and Gulshan 65.
The cases were filed against motor vehicles, three-wheelers and motorcycles.
The drives will continue to ensure discipline on city roads and smooth movement for residents, the release said.
The Traffic Division is working to streamline the system to make commuting easier across Dhaka, it added.
