Prarthana Fardin Dighi is gearing up for another Eid release, as her upcoming film ‘Biday’ moves towards completion ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. The project marks her continued presence on the big screen following renewed attention around her recent work.
Directed by Mehedi Hassan Ridoy, Biday has been in development for several months, with initial shooting beginning in Sunamganj last October. Production delays meant the film missed its earlier intended release window, but the team is now preparing to resume filming to complete the remaining sequences. Parts of the shoot, including key scenes and a song, are scheduled to take place in Malaysia.
Those involved with the film indicate that a festive release is now firmly in sight, with plans being finalised to meet the Eid-ul-Azha timeline.
Unlike conventional commercial films, Biday places its emphasis on narrative rather than star hierarchy. While Dighi leads the cast, the film does not revolve around a singular male protagonist. Instead, the story is positioned as the central driving force, supported by performances from Bapparaj, Faruque Ahmed and Fazlur Rahman Babu.
Dighi has described the project as a story rooted in emotional realism, suggesting it aims to connect with audiences on a personal level. The filmmakers have similarly framed it as a character-driven work intended for a broad, family audience.
Alongside Biday, the actor has also completed work on a web film directed by Sumon Dhar, which is also expected to arrive around the same festive period, signalling a busy Eid season ahead for the performer.
