Tollywood superstar Dev, who currently hosts Zee Bangla’s popular game show Dadagiri, once again found himself answering questions about his personal life.
This time, the advice came from a 92-year-old contestant, who urged the actor to get married after sharing the story of his own 63-year marriage.
The heartwarming moment unfolded during a recent couples’ special episode of Dadagiri, featuring elderly couple Pranab Mukhopadhyay and Kalyani Mukhopadhyay.
Throughout the programme, they reflected on their decades-long married life and the values that kept their relationship strong.
During the conversation, 92-year-old Pranab Mukhopadhyay said, “I got married in 1963. Even after all these years, I am still holding her hand just as firmly.”
He added that many relationships today end within a short time, whereas true love means standing beside each other and holding hands until the very end of life.
Turning to Dev with a smile, he then offered some heartfelt advice, saying, “Now it’s your turn to get married.”
The unexpected remark left Dev blushing, prompting laughter throughout the studio.
Speculation about Dev’s marriage is nothing new.
The topic frequently comes up on the Dadagiri stage, where contestants often tease the actor about his personal life.
Just last week, cast members of a television serial also joked about when he would tie the knot.
This time, however, the advice from the 92-year-old contestant struck an emotional chord with viewers.
His reflections on more than six decades of married life, along with Dev’s shy reaction, quickly became a talking point on social media.
