The pass rate under the Madrasah Education Board in this year’s Dakhil examinations fell sharply to 55.49 percent, the lowest among all education boards.
The number of GPA‑5 achievers also declined.
Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon announced the SSC results Monday morning at the Ministry of Education conference room.
According to official statistics, 296,982 examinees from 9,141 institutions sat for the Dakhil examinations under the Madrasah Education Board this year. Of them, 164,797 students passed, resulting in a pass rate of 55.49 per cent. A total of 6,716 students secured GPA-5.
In 2025, the Dakhil pass rate stood at 68.09 per cent, with 9,066 students obtaining a GPA-5. As a result, the pass rate has dropped by 12.60 percentage points in a year, while the number of GPA-5 recipients has fallen by 2,350.
Meanwhile, the overall pass rate for this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations stands at 62.25 per cent. The pass rate across the nine general education boards is 64.05 per cent, while the Technical Education Board recorded a success rate of 58.20 per cent.
Of the 1,829,485 students who took the SSC and equivalent examinations this year, 1,138,877 have passed. The total number of GPA-5 achievers stands at 116,676.
Compared with the previous year, the overall pass rate has declined by 6.2 per cent, while the number of GPA-5 recipients has decreased by 22,365.
