The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) completed the team management draft for its newly launched domestic tournament, D3 (Domestic 3), on Tuesday, as all six franchises locked in their coaching and support personnel.
The draft represents the second key milestone in rolling out the competition following its official launch on Sunday. The tournament, designed to replace the NCL T20, BCL four-day, and BCL one-day events, features 42 matches across all three formats.
Former national team spinner Abdur Razzaq was selected as head coach for Walton, joined by assistant coaches Tushar Imran and Dollar Mahmud. Fortune secured experienced tactician Mohammad Salahuddin as head coach, with former national captain Mohammad Ashraful and Abdul Karim Juel appointed as assistant coaches.
Sohel Islam was appointed head coach of ACE Bluestar, while Rajin Saleh takes charge at ACME. Mizanur Rahman Babul will head Citizens Bank, and Talha Jubair assumes the top coaching position at Seven Rings Cement.
Franchises also selected their support staff across medical, fitness, and analytical roles. Physiotherapists Bayejedul Islam Khan (Fortune), Enamul Haque (Walton), Delwar Hossain Siva (Seven Rings Cement), Joy Biswas (ACE Bluestar), Abu Reza MD Shoriful Alam (ACME), and Khairul Islam (Citizens Bank) were drafted to their respective teams.
Strength and conditioning coaches include Subhashis Roy Bappi (Citizens Bank), Rubaiyat Haq (ACE Bluestar), Tushar Kanti Howladar (ACME), M. Moniruzzaman (Fortune), Iftekharul Islam Ifti (Seven Rings Cement), and Aslam Khan (Walton).
The performance analyst positions were filled by Nasir Ahmed Nasu (Walton), Sandeep Kumar Raman (ACME), Anik Neogi (Citizens Bank), Amdadul Haque Leon (Fortune), Jahane Alam (Seven Rings Cement), and SM Zulfiqur Ali (ACE Bluestar).
With management teams established, focus shifts to the players’ draft on October 26, where each franchise will pick 23 players ahead of the opening T20 leg starting December 15 in Barishal.
