The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection has fined a business Tk2 lakh for producing fake ghee in unhygienic conditions in Chattogram’s Bahaddarhat area.

Three other businesses were fined a combined Tk21,000 during the same drive on Sunday afternoon.

Officials found that MR Consumers Products was using palm oil, artificial flavouring and colouring instead of milk to make ghee.
