Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport will host a Baishakh-themed carnival and culinary festival on 14 April to celebrate the Bangla New Year, the hotel said in a press release.

The day-long event, titled “Esho He Baishakh,” will feature a cultural fair and a food festival combining traditional Bangladeshi elements with modern hospitality.

The fair, “Esho He Baishakh Uthsob,” will run from 10am to 7pm, transforming the hotel premises into a Baishakhi fairground for visitors of all ages.

The event will include rides such as a traditional Nagordola and a train, alongside a jumping castle, carousel, bubble house, and balloon shooting games.

Alongside the fair, the hotel will host “Dhakaiya Roshona Bilash,” a buffet brunch and dinner inspired by Old Dhaka cuisine.

The menu will feature dishes such as shorisha ilish, ilish polao, traditional Puran Dhaka kacchi, kebabs, and kathi rolls.

Desserts will include nakshi pitha, vapa pitha, gurer roshogolla, and the traditional agun paan.

A “buy one get three” offer will be available for guests using selected bank cards.

Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport General Manager Ashwani Nayar said the initiative aims to connect global hospitality standards with local culture.

“These festivities reflect the hotel’s long-term vision to become part of the community through culturally rooted experiences,” he said.

The event is being organised in partnership with Bank Asia, Air Astra, SnapnKeep, 7UP, Bellissimo, and Tinker’s Tea.
