Osman Hadi, the prospective independent candidate for Dhaka-8 who sustained a critical gunshot wound on Friday, is being transferred from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) to Evercare Hospital for advanced treatment.
The transfer was confirmed by DMCH Director Brig Gen Md Asaduzzaman.
Surgery on critically injured Osman Hadi was completed around 7pm. Doctors treating Osman Hadi have confirmed that the bullet that struck him entered through the right side of his head and exited near his left ear.
Dr Mustak Ahmed, the residential surgeon at DMCH’s emergency department, said a CT scan initially detected fragments of the bullet or pellets lodged inside Hadi’s head. “Those fragments were removed during surgery,” he stated.
Hadi’s brother, Omar, said he was being moved to Evercare Hospital for advanced medical care. “For better treatment, Hadi is being transferred to Evercare,” he said.

An ambulance carrying Hadi left DMCH around 7:30pm.
Hadi, spokesperson for the platform Inquilab Mancha and widely known on social media as Osman Hadi, was shot in the capital’s Bijoynagar culvert area shortly after leaving a mosque following Friday Jumma prayers.
Earlier, the DMCH director said Hadi had been in critical condition since his arrival. “He was taken straight to the operating theatre and placed on life support. The bullet is still lodged inside his brain,” he said.
Medical officials decided to move Hadi to Evercare Hospital after assessing the severity of his injuries and the need for specialised care.
