The 14th Communication Summit placed creativity at the heart of Bangladesh’s evolving communication landscape as industry leaders gathered in Dhaka to explore how culture and chaos shape modern storytelling, said a press release issued on Saturday.
The summit, presented by SMC Enterprise Limited and powered by Walton Group, was held at Le Méridien Dhaka. Organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum, it brought together senior professionals from marketing, advertising, branding, media, public relations and creative strategy under the theme Chaos, culture and creativity: reimagining the communication canvas, according to the release.
The discussions focused on how creativity thrives in moments of disruption and how culture guides authentic narratives in a fragmented digital world. Speakers said communication professionals must translate disorder into opportunity to build deeper audience connections.
Bangladesh Brand Forum Group CEO and executive editor Sajid Mahbub said creativity has become the strongest tool in an age of noise and uncertainty. He said the summit creates space to rethink how culture, empathy and insight can drive meaningful brand stories.
The day featured three keynote sessions, four panel discussions and two case studies examining shifts in communication strategy. The keynotes explored creativity as a business solution, the risks of complacency among digital-era brands and frameworks needed to turn brand noise into coherent messaging.
In his keynote, Emami Limited Country Head for Bangladesh and Southeast Asia Tanzeen Alam said creativity becomes effective only when it solves real business problems.
He said habits change when people understand why they should, urging brands to prioritise simplicity, cultural cues and genuine consumer insight. He said humour, nostalgia and relatable emotion can turn ordinary moments into compelling narratives.
Panel discussions stressed partnership-based client–agency models, fair pitch practices and leadership that balances content scale with creative depth. Speakers said long-term trust emerges when both sides collaborate openly and share responsibility.
The case study sessions highlighted behavioural and cultural transitions shaping modern communication, underscoring authenticity, audience connection and the reinvention of brand canvases. Industry leaders from organisations including Grey Group, Mediacom, FCB Bitopi, Interspeed Advertising, bKash,
X Solutions, Sun Communications and Adfinix also shared insights throughout the day. The summit was organised in collaboration with Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, International Advertising Association Bangladesh, Asia Marketing Federation, BBF CMO Club and others, the release added.
