A total of 302 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in Khulna Division in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
One patient died during the period, raising the division’s dengue death toll this year to 30.
Government hospitals admitted 246 of the new patients, while private hospitals admitted 56.
Since 1 January, the division has recorded 9,109 dengue cases.
Of them, 7,813 patients have recovered and returned home, 1,041 are receiving treatment and 225 have been referred to other facilities for advanced care.
Khulna has recorded the highest number of cases, with 3,403 infections so far. Of these, 2,007 patients were identified at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
