Police have arrested widely discussed YouTuber Hero Alom in a case filed by his former wife Riya Moni.
He was arrested around 2:30pm on Saturday from his private office in Rampura, Dhaka.
On 23 June, his ex-wife Riya Moni filed a case with the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court accusing Hero Alom of attempted murder, assault and intimidation.
On 12 November, CMM Court Judge Wahiduzzaman issued an arrest warrant against Hero Alom in the case.
Based on that warrant, Hatirjheel Police arrested him on Saturday. Another person named Ahsan Habib Selim has also been made an accused in the case.
