The condolence meeting in memory of former prime minister Khaleda Zia has been held at the South Plaza of the National Parliament Building on Friday afternoon.
The programme, organised by Civil Society, began at 3pm.
BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, along with his wife Zubaida Rahman and daughter Zaima Rahman, attended the event.

The meeting, arranged for around 5,000 people, drew participants from different walks of life, with a large turnout observed at the venue.
Organisers said no leaders of political parties would deliver speeches from the stage.
Instead, condolence speeches were given by eminent citizens, including researchers, physicians, teachers, religious representatives, and leaders of various professional groups.
The meeting was presided over by Former Chief Justice Syed JR Mudassir Husain, while Ashraf Kaiser and Kazi Jesin conducted the proceedings.
