Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen met prime minister’s Political and Agriculture Adviser Nazrul Islam Khan and stressed stronger cooperation in agriculture, forestry, and education.
The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s office in Tejgaon, where both sides discussed issues of mutual interest, the government said in a press release.
Expanding collaboration in modern farming technology, afforestation to protect the environment, and skills development in the education sector featured prominently in the talks.
Nazrul Islam Khan sought more active support from China in the sectors, while the envoy assured continued cooperation in Bangladesh’s development efforts.
Chinese Embassy Cultural Counsellor Li Shaopeng and other officials were also present at the meeting.
