Veteran actor Fazlur Rahman Babu is on the mend following successful open heart surgery at a private hospital in Dhaka on February 23. Sharing a touching moment, fellow actor Chanchal Chowdhury visited Babu with his family and posted a picture on his verified Facebook profile, expressing relief and joy at seeing the actor smiling after the complicated procedure.
In the post Chanchal wrote: “The best moment of this Eid was seeing Babu Bhai with my family. After such a major operation, witnessing him smile was my humble prayer to the Creator. We hope to see him on screen again soon.”
In response, Babu expressed his gratitude, commenting: “Thank you Chanchal. I survived this journey with all your prayers and love.” Fans and colleagues flooded the post with wishes for his speedy recovery.
Babu’s wife, Kazi Roksana Ruma, revealed that doctors have advised a year-long period of rest. She recounted the critical events leading up to the surgery, saying that Babu suffered a heart attack at home on February 16 and underwent an urgent angiogram the next day, which led to the immediate recommendation for open heart surgery. She confirmed that he is now stable and recovering well.
