Israeli Finance Minister Nir Barkat has expressed his belief that US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are jointly managing the ongoing situation with Iran, though there is some debate over the reality of negotiations.
According to Al Jazeera, in an interview with Israeli public broadcaster Kan News, Barkat stated that any agreement with Iran must be structured such that Tehran retains no capabilities, with all advantages remaining with the United States and Israel.
He noted that while Trump is engaged in negotiations with Iran, he is simultaneously withdrawing forces from the Gulf region.
Meanwhile, following Iran’s ballistic missile attack, the Israel Electric Corporation reported no infrastructural damage to the main power facility in Hadera.
After an Iranian ballistic missile landed near the city of Hadera early Wednesday local time, the company confirmed that its power station and related infrastructure remained safe, with no significant damage.
Initial reports suggested the missile struck near Hadera, where the Electric Corporation operates a long-term energy production facility, but authorities have confirmed that the infrastructure remains intact.
