Israel on Wednesday said that while it supports US President Donald Trump’s decision to suspend strikes against Iran for two weeks, the truce does not apply to its ongoing war with Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said that the ceasefire is conditional on Iran immediately reopening the Strait of Hormuz and halting all attacks against the United States, Israel, and regional allies, AP reports.
The statement added that Israel backs US efforts to ensure Iran no longer poses a nuclear or missile threat.
